Winter Wedding Photographer at the Elvetham

For my last wedding of the year I was once again back at The Elvetham, my home from home. What could go wrong, a lovely couple, my favourite venue and… the worst snow for 60 years. Fortunately I had the good sense to buy a practical Swedish car many years ago that eats snow and ice for breakfast so getting there was no problem, even so I gave myself 2 hours for the 5 mile journey. Once there much hot tea and excitement was the order of the day and all the guests lined up to have their photos taken in a “photo booth” which got me thinking… more on that later.

ADVICE: Winter wedding photography tests equipment and skills to the limit so if you’re getting married between October and March then please make sure to check out your photographers “winter portfolio”. Shooting in the darkness of mid-winter is challenging and definitely not for the faint hearted or the “just started”.

Enjoy the photos!
